About our Team

The Salisbury University Poms Dance Team was founded by Telecia Taylor on October 12, 2008. The team is a Registered Student Organization (RSO) at Salisbury University that is open to all full-time undergraduate students that is in good academic standing with the University.  There are 10-22 talented and passionate team members that have the opportunity to perform at home men’s basketball games, football games,various school events, and the team's fall annual Take the Stage Dance Showcase. Participants perform Pom routines that includes different dance styles from hip hop to jazz. As an RSO on campus, the team is open for general membership to participate in other team activities.

Obligations and Standards

All team members are expected to attend all team practices, events, and meetings. All members must understand that being a Poms dancer requires a few more financial obligations (costumes, dues, etc). Members will participate in all activities in which the organization is involved.

All members are expected to come prepared to all practices and meetings. If you must be late, please notify the President or Captain of your expected tardiness.
